A large percentage of Brazilian businesses have suffered from the current coronavirus epidemic – yet some have followed the other direction. Casa do Construtor is an example in this respect, as highlighted by Edenilso Rossi Arnaldi, entrepreneur from the industry, also Sial Engenharia founder and chairman.
“Casa do Construtor has moved from 62 to 49 places, with 318 franchisees,” the ABF stressed. The business group – “benefited from the longer stay of people and the spread of home offices – was also the sector that grew the most during the pandemic, with 25.6% of the pandemic in the fourth quarter of last year as compared to the same period in 2019 and 12.8% in 2020,” according to the company information.
A very crucial year for the firm is the end of the year when Altino Cristofoletti Junior, CEO for the franchise chain for construction equipment rental, joins the 50 largest franchises in Brazil. In 2021 according to Cristofoletti, Casa do Construtor’s aims to sell more than 100 units and increase the chain’s location further on the Brazilian Franchising Association’s list, reported Edenilso Rossi Arnaldi. “This demonstrates the power and potential of the civil building sector in Brazil, even minor changes, particularly in such a cheap interest rate situation,” noted Altino Cristofoletti. Casa do Construtor was created in Rio Claro in 1993 by Cristofoletti Junior and Expedito Eloel Arena.
This was in a «Continuous movement of expansion across the national territory», pointed out by the company itself – who also emphasized that the business is one of the most lauded brands in recent years.
