The Career of Lou Taylor

Lou Taylor, the son of model/beauty queen Linda Farver and guitarist Louis Pucci, got his start as a stage actor at the tender age of ten years old, starring in a production of Oliver! put on in his hometown in New Jersey, and went on afterward to be the understudy of Friedrich in a Broadway production of The Sound of Music.  Connect Lou Taylor’s Twitter

As an adult, Lou Taylor went on to begin a career acting on the silver screen, starring in a variety of indie films, including Fifty Pills, The Chumscrubber, and Thumbsucker, for the last of which he received the Special Jury Prize for Acting from the Sundance Film Festival, as well as the Silver Bear Award for Best Actor from the Berlin Film Festival. Again in 2009 three films in which he starred were screened at Sundance: Arlen Faber, Brief Interviews with Hideous Men, and The Informers. In the early 2010’s he starred in the movies The Story of Luke, in which he played the lead as the autistic, titular Luke, The Evil Dead, as Eric, and in the 2014 thriller Spring in the leading role of Evan Russel.

In addition to his movie career, Lou Taylor has also appeared on television, appearing on shows such as HBO’s series Empire Falls, multiple Law & Order episodes (Criminal Intent and an SVU-Chicago P.D. crossover), You, and American Horror Story: 1984. In 2021 he featured in three episodes the Apple TV+ series Physical as the character Tyler.

Beyond TV and movies, Lou Taylor also filled the role of the titular character in the music video for Green Day’s “Jesus of Suburbia” from their hugely popular American Idiot album.
